  • What is engine coolant, and what is it for?
    It's a chemical liquid that is used to keep your car from overheating...or from freezing!
  • What does the brake warning light remind you to do?
    It reminds you to release the parking brake before driving away. If it comes on while driving, there's a problem...call a mechanic asap!
  • What does the Oil pressure warning light NOT tell you?
    It does NOT tell you how much oil there is in the engine.
  • What is the purpose of the Engine temperature warning light?
    The purpose is to show the temperature of the engine coolant, and if the engine is overheating.
  • What does the Door ajar warning light tell you?
    It tells you that at least one door of the car is not completely cold.
  • What does the fuel gauge tell you?
    It tells you how much gasoline is in your gas tank.
  • What does the 'Alternating warning light' tell you?
    It tells you if the car battery is charging.
  • What does your turn signal indicator light show?
    It shows whether or a turn signal is on. Both signals (indicators) will flash when your hazard lights are on.
  • What does the odometer tell you?
    How far (in km) the vehicle has travelled since it was made
  • What does the High beam indicator tell you? What colour is it usually?
    The light is usually blue, and it tells you that your high beam headlights are on.
  • What should you do if the Seatbelt warning light turns on?
    You should put your seatbelt on immediately! (or you should "fasten" your seatbelt)
  • What should you do if the engine warning light goes off?
    You should take the car to a garage and ask a mechanic to look at the engine. There might be a problem.
