  • What does "self control" mean?
    Having control over the things you say, do, and feel.
  • What are some thoughts or feelings that others may have if you are whining and arguing with the teacher in class?
    They might feel uncomfortable, nervous, or annoyed. They might think that you are being disrespectful or unkind.

    Yes, she took a break to help her body calm down.

    Stay calm, ask for it back, offer to trade him a toy, ask for help.

    Look around the rooom to see what your classmates are doing, ask a friend, or raise your hands and ask for the direction to be repeated.

    Ask them politely to move back a little or to give you some space. You can also  move to another spot in line. We should not push or whine!

    No. If you call them a mean name back it will not solve the problem, but could make the problem bigger.

    Eyes watching, ears listening, mouth quiet, body calm.

    Look at your classmates, ask a friend, raise your hand and ask for the teacher to repeat the direction.
