  • Make a promise- to tell someone that you will certainly do something
    Idiom- The government have promised that they'll reduce taxes.
  • Feelings- feelings are emotions that we feel or that we can perceive from other people
    Noun- It is good that we express our feelings as long as we do not emotionally affect or harm other people

  • Take the blame- to say or think that someone or something did something wrong or is responsible for something bad happening
    Verb- taking the blame can help someone else if she didn't

  • Empathize with- to be able to understand how someone else feels
    Verb- It's very easy to empathize with the characters in her books
