  • What is a polyculture farm?
    Various crops are produced on the same land at the same time.
  • What happenes in hydroponic farming?
    Crops are grown in water instead of soil.
  • What is a monoculture farm?
    A farm where a single crop is produced.
  • Subsistance farming
    Most common land use. These farmers don't sell their products they just farm to live.

    Something that will probably cause damage.

    The raising of animals to produce meat, milk, wool and leather or to be used as labour.

    They are larger than intensive farms, but they don't use all the available space, so they produce less.

    farm or other business which is owned and run by a group of people.

    Process of collecting crops.
  • What is genetic modification?
    direct manipulation of a plant or other organism, in which genes or added or removed.
  • What do intensive farms do?
    They make use of all the available space. The crops are harvestged several times a year.
