What’s the difference between holding hands and shaking hands?
You shake hands to greet someone, but you hold hands with someone you love, or with a child to make sure they are safe.
What things are you useless at?
Something you are really bad at, e.g. sports, school subjects, practical jobs, etc.
Why might you need cheering up?
You might need cheering up if you were sad, or if some bad things had happened.

What’s the difference between practise and play?
Practise = you do the same thing over and over to get better at it. When you play something, you usually do it as a competition, in a game with someone else.

You need to warm up before you do exercise.
Why might you feel guilty? Give three examples.
You might feel guilty if you think you have behaved badly or done something wrong, e.g. if you didn’t help someone when they needed it
Why would you be in a rush? Why would you rush somebody to hospital?
You would rush somebody to hospital if they were very ill or had been injured in a serious accident.
What’s the difference between fed up and upset?
If you are fed up it means you have had enough of something, or you are bored. You are upset if something bad has happened, or if someone has been unkind.
Say three things people boast about.
People might boast about anything they are proud of, e.g. doing well in an exam, being very good at something, having a lot of money or nice things.
Say two things that can be miserable.
The weather can be miserable if it is grey, and you can have a miserable time if things go badly. People can also be miserable if they are sad or depressed
What’s the difference between catchy and uplifting?
A catchy tune is one that you can’t stop singing; uplifting music makes you feel cheerful.
Say two things that are often due.
A baby, a train or bus or anything that has a timetable can be due. It means we expect them to arrive.
Say two things you can sort out.
You might sort out a problem, a difficult situation, a disagreement, rubbish, recycling, car hire, etc
