Martin was hungry. He decided to eat breakfast. He took out cereal from the cupboard. He poured the cereal into a bowl. He added milk. He got a spoon from the drawer and ate at the kitchen table.

Ryan is playing on the playground at recess. He is waiting in line to go down the slide. His friend Joe is standing in front of him. They are talking about Superheroes while they wait.

Mr. Howard went to the hardware store. He needed supplies to build a tree house. He bought wood and nails. He also needed tools so he bought a saw and a hammer.

Becky is working on a science project. She decides to build a model of the solar system. She uses a lemon to represent the sun. She uses different circular objects to represent the planets.

Alyssa was in the car on a road trip with her family. She looked out of the window at the scenery. She enjoyed seeing the different state license plates on the cars they passed.

Ashley is cleaning her bedroom. She makes her bed. Then she puts her clothes and toys away. Last, she dusts the furniture and then vacuums the floor.

Jeff is having a barbeque. He bought hamburgers and hot dogs. He took out ketchup and mustard. He set up a table in the backyard for his family and friends.

Mrs. Jones is writing the homework on the Smart Board. The students in her class are watching her write. They are taking out their planners and pencils. Once Mrs. Jones is finished, they will copy their homework down.

Michelle is going to a birthday party on Saturday. She needs a dress to wear. She is on her way to the mall to buy a new dress. She hopes she finds a dress at one of the department stores.

Vicki and Maggie went to the diner for dinner. They sat at a table in the corner. Vicki ordered a hamburger. Maggie ordered a chicken sandwich. They ate and then paid their bill.

Tammy went to the candy store. She wanted to buy a pack of bubble gum. She searched the gum section of the candy store. She decided to buy peppermint flavored bubble gum.

Samara has a hard time reading the board at school. She squints and asks to move closer to the board. Her teacher is concerned. She tells Samara’s parents that she may need glasses.

Jenny is getting ready for her dance recital. Her dance recital is next month. She is practicing her routine with her dance class. They practice every week.

Brandon is building a dog house for his dog Fluffy. He has wood, nails, and his hammer. He has instructions next to him. His father is helping him. Fluffy cannot wait to sleep in his new dog house.

Kevin is planting in his garden. He digs a hole in the soil. He places seeds in the hole. He covers the hole with more soil. Last, he uses a watering can to water the soil.

Jack went to the aquarium with his friend Andrew. First, they saw lobsters. Then, they saw sea turtles. After they looked at more sea creatures, they went to the gift shop.

Zachary was walking to school. All of a sudden, it started to rain. Zachary took his umbrella out of his book bag. Then, he continued walking to school.

Christina’s mother bought tickets to see the play “Annie.” Christina is excited. She loves this play. She knows the words to every song in it. Christina and her mother will be sitting in the third row.

Colleen plays the violin. She has been playing for the last four years. She practices her violin every night before dinnertime. She even plays in her school orchestra.

Nick went fishing with his father. They woke up early and drove to the lake. They bought bait at a shop near the lake. They fished for three hours before they caught their first fish.

Paul is going on a field trip to the farm with his class. They will take a bus to the farm. They will see many animals such as pigs, cows, and chickens. He will help feed the animals

David and Robert went to the baseball stadium. They went to watch their favorite team play baseball. They sat behind third base. They bought hot dogs and ate them while they watched the game.

Peter was not feeling well. His mother took his temperature. She made him chicken soup. She gave him cough medicine. Peter stayed in bed all day.

Kim is wrapping a birthday gift for her younger sister. She has pink wrapping paper and purple ribbon. She tapes the birthday card to the top of the box.

Jake went to the library. He needed a book on World War II for his history assignment. He could not find any books. He asked the librarian for help.

Sparky is a clown. He loves to perform at children’s birthday parties. He juggles, paints faces, and makes balloon animals. Every child hopes to have Sparky at their party!

Alex went to a carnival. He went on some rides and played carnival games. He won a stuffed animal. He ate cotton candy. Alex had fun at the carnival.

Isabella is making grilled cheese. She takes out bread and slices of cheese. She puts the cheese on the bread. Then she places the sandwich in the toaster oven.

Joey got a pet fish. He got a large glass fish bowl for his fish. He placed water in the bowl. He put his fish in the bowl. Then he fed his fish.

Mr. Miller is cleaning his house. First, he cleans the kitchen. Then, he vacuums the floor. Last, he folds the clean clothes from the laundry.

Dylan and his friends were playing Uno. Dylan kept drawing the “wild” cards. Dylan was the first of his friends to run out of cards. Dylan won the game

Andy went to the barber shop. He sat in the chair. The barber cut his hair. Once the barber was finished, Andy paid for his haircut.
