  • What makes Yellowstone National Park special?
    The geysers, especially Old Faithful.

    They are too small to recycle. They usually end up in the ocean. Turtles and marine life eat them and can cause them to die.

    They lay less eggs because without food they won't be able to feed their babies.

    Obstacles are hardships or challenges. The town does not have running water, can't use indoor bathrooms, can't grow crops, have to melt ice for water, etc.

    Terrain is the type of surface, land or geographic area. Examples include: rocky, mountainous, snow, ice, pavement, grasslands, etc.

    Answers will vary. Although it is raining, I still rode my bike to school.
  • What does the word "descend" mean. What prefix is in this word and give two more examples of words with the same prefix.
    Descend means to go down. Decrease, decline, depress, decomposers,etc.
  • How are snowboards and surf boards the same? How are they different?
    Both are smooth, they don't have wheels. SB have buckles for your boots and used on snow. SF have ankle strap used on ocean.
  • What does the word "adorn" mean in this sentence. People would adorn the bridge with love locks.
    Adorn means to decorate.
  • What does the word "variety" mean and can you name a variety of types of apples?
    Variety means many different kinds (gala, granny smith, red delicious, pink lady, macintosh, etc)
  • Why do you think snowy owls have white feathers? How does their color help them when hunting?
    They have white feather to camouflage themselves into their environment. Their color helps them to hide from their prey and do a sneak attack.
