  • In PE, Coach asks each student to thank a teammate after a group game. One student, Elijah, rolls his eyes and mutters, “Why do we have to do this? It’s fake.” Others follow his lead, making the moment feel awkward.
  • After the class party, leftover desserts remain. One student says, “I’ll take these home!” Another argues, “That’s not fair—we all brought food.”
  • During class, everyone shares their Thanksgiving traditions. When Aiden shares that his family eats tamales, another student laughs and says "That's not Thanksgiving food!"
  • Students write gratitude journals each morning. Connor peeks at Lily’s and laughs, “You’re thankful for your cat? That’s lame.” Others chuckle. Lily slams her notebook shut.
  • Someone whispers that the teacher is giving extra dojo points to friends. Soon, everyone repeats it. The teacher overhears and looks disappointed, since this was not true.
  • During a group project, Lucas forgets to include Peyton’s name on the final poster. When Peyton notices, she feels left out and says, “You always ignore me!” Lucas insists it was an accident, but Peyton refuses to talk to him.
  • At assembly, two students argue over front-row seats. One says, “I can’t see from the back,” but the other insists, “I sat here first.” A staff member intervenes.
  • For the Turkey Bowl flag game, jerseys are distributed. Two kids argue over the last red one. “I called it first!” “Too bad—I grabbed it!” They tug until the teacher steps in.
  • Students decorate gratitude posters. One writes, “I’m thankful for my little brother.” Another giggles, “Really? He’s so annoying!” The first shrugs but looks hurt.
  • During PE, Coach asks for volunteers for team captains. Both Ava and Brayden raise their hands, but coach picks Ava. Ava mutters "He always gets picked." The class hears and Brayden feels embarrassed.
  • During morning meeting, students sit in a “thankful circle.” When it’s her turn, Harper says she’s thankful for “getting the highest score on the math test.” A classmate mutters, “That’s not something to be thankful for, it’ just bragging.”
  • During lunch, Mia sits next to two classmates she doesn’t usually join. Her friend, Ava, spots her and says, “Oh, I see how it is, new besties now.” Mia explains she just wanted to talk to someone new, but Ava rolls her eyes and walks away.
  • In a class trivia game, Mia's team wins by one point. Her friend Harpers shouts “She only won because she’s the teacher’s favorite.” Mia looks hurt and stops celebrating.
  • During recess kickball, Mason and Caleb argue about an out call. Caleb shouts, “You always cheat!” and storms off. The next day, Mason invites everyone except Caleb to play. Caleb sits alone pretending to read, but keeps looking at the game
  • At lunch Sarah trades her cookie for Bella's chips. Later, Chloe says she wants the cookie back because the chips are stale. Bella refuses and yells "No trade backs!"
  • Students check out books for a fall reading challenge. Emma realizes she forgot hers at home and tells the teacher, “I turned it in last week.” Later, her friend finds the book in her backpack and looks conflicted.
  • During a game of football at recess, Jacob throws a ball and accidentally hits Nora's shoulder. She yells, "You did that on purpose!" Jacob tries to apologize but Nora storms off.
  • After recess, students return to find their lunchboxes missing from the cart. Everyone panics until a teacher announces they were moved for cleaning. One angry student shouts at a classmate, “You probably took mine!” The class looks shocked
  • The class wins a community award for donating the most food cans. In assembly, one student loudly says, “It’s because of me—I brought 40!” Others roll eyes.
  • During a gratitude circle, students share who they’re thankful for. Liam says, “My grandpa cooks the best turkey.” Another blurts, “That’s not true—my dad’s is better.”
