  • I have no legs and move by sliding my long body over the ground. I sometimes hide in the grass or coil on a rock to warm in the sum, and I can bite or hiss when I feel scared.

  • I wear a black and white coat like a little suit. I cannot fly but I swim very well and live where it is very cold. I walk on two legs and waddle when I move.

  • I have black and white fur and a round face. I spend most of my day eating bamboo shoots, climb trees slowly, and people love me for my gentle look.

  • I am called the king of the jungle. I have a loud roar, a strong body, and a big mane (hair) if I am a male. I live in groups and I hunt to feed my family.

  • I wake up when the sung goes down. I fly silently in the night, sleep hanging upside down, and use echoes of sound to find where insects and fruit are hiding.

  • I live high in the sky and look down with very sharp eyes. I fly fast, carry food in my strong claws, and build my nest on tall cliffs or big trees.

  • I am small with whiskers and a long tail. I can chew almost anything, live in houses or sewers, and I am very good at finding food where people live.

  • I am an ancient reptile that lives in rivers, swamps, and some coasts. My skin is rough like armor, I have many sharp teeth, and I can stay very still in water while waiting for prey.

  • I live near water and can jump very far with my strong back legs. When I am young I breath under water with gills, and when I grow up I breathe air and make a croaking sound.

  • I live in water, breathe with gills, and move using fins. I come in many colors and sizes, and sometimes swim in large groups called schools to stay safe.

  • I am big and furry with strong paws. I love to eat honey and berries, and in cold months I sleep for a long time in a cozy den in a cave.

  • I have strong back legs and a large pocket on my belly where I carry my baby. I can jump very high and live in wide open places with grass.

  • I live under the sea and have eight strong, bendy arms with suckers. I can squeeze through tiny holes, change color to hide, and I am very clever when I hunt.

  • I am a very strong ape with a thick body and long arms. I live in forests, use tools sometimes, and care for my family in groups called troops.

  • I live in hot, dry deserts and can travel long distances without water. I store fat in the humps on my back, which helps me survive when food and water are scarce; some of us have one hump, others have two.

  • I have long ears and a soft, furry body. I hop with strong back legs, dig little burrows, and like to nibble on carrots, lettuce, and other vegetables.
