  • לֹ֣א מֵֽרֻבְּכֶ֞ם מִכָּל־הָֽעַמִּ֗ים חָשַׁ֧ק ה בָּכֶ֖ם
    not because you are the most numerous did Hashem choose you
  • כִּֽי־יָסִ֤יר אֶת־בִּנְךָ֙ מֵֽאַחֲרַ֔י
    he will turn your grandson away from you
  • מְשַׁלֵּ֧ם לְשֹׂנְאָ֛יו אֶל־פָּנָ֖יו לְהַאֲבִיד֑וֹ
    He pays back those who hate Him to his face to destroy them
  • כִּ֣י עַ֤ם קָדוֹשׁ֙ אַתָּ֔ה לַה אֱלֹקיךָ
    because you are a holy nation to Hashem your G-d
  • לֹא־תִכְרֹ֥ת לָהֶ֛ם בְּרִ֖ית וְלֹ֥א תְחָנֵּֽם
    dont make a peace treaty with them and dont give them land
  • ִהְי֥וֹת לוֹ֙ לְעַ֣ם סְגֻלָּ֔ה מִכֹּל֙ הָֽעַמִּ֔ים
    to be His treasured nation from all the nations
  • כִּי֩ מֵֽאַהֲבַ֨ת ה אֶתְכֶ֗ם... הוֹצִ֧יא ה אֶתְכֶ֖ם
    because Hashem loved you did He take you out
  • וְלֹ֥א תִתְחַתֵּ֖ן בָּ֑ם
    don't marry them
  • כִּ֤י יְבִֽיאֲךָ֙ ה אֱלֹקיךָ אֶל־הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּ֥ה בָא־שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּ֑הּ
    When Hashem your g-d brings you to the land that you are going to inherit it
  • וְיָ֣דַעְתָּ֔ כִּֽי־ה אֱלֹק֖יךָ ה֣וּא הָֽאֱלֹקים
    and know that Hashem your G-d is G-d
