Sarcastic, passive, small talk? Kid 1: "How’s your math class going?" Kid 2: "It’s okay. Just learning a bunch of new stuff. How about you?" Kid 1: "Same. I’m kind of stuck on this one problem, though."

Sarcastic, passive, or small talk? Kid 1: "It’s so cold today!" Kid 2: "Yeah, I didn’t expect it to be this chilly. I’m not ready for winter yet." Kid 1: "I know, right? I was hoping for a little more sun!"

Kid 1: "I think I’m the fastest runner in our class!" Kid 2: "Oh, for sure. Right after a tortoise, maybe."

Sarcastic, Passive, or Small-talk? Kid 1: "I just got a B on my test." Kid 2: "Oh, a B? How impressive. You’re practically a genius now. Watch out, Einstein!"

Sarcastic, passive, or small talk?Kid 1: "It’d be nice if someone could pass the crayons... but I guess it’s fine." Kid 2: "Oh, you want the crayons? Well, I could pass them, if you really need them."

Kid 1: "I’m the best at soccer!" Kid 2: "Sure, if ‘kicking the ball the wrong way’ counts as being the best."

Kid 1: "I don’t mind sitting over here, but maybe it’d be better if we sat somewhere else… but I’m not sure." Kid 2: "Oh, if you’d prefer a different spot, I can move. No big deal!"

Sarcastic, passive, or smal talk? Kid 1: "What do you like to do after school?" Kid 2: "I usually go skateboarding. How about you?" Kid 1: "I like to read, mostly. I just finished a really good book!"

Kid 1: "I have to do my math homework." Kid 2: "Wow, what an exciting adventure! Math homework! Who needs video games when you have that?"

Sarcastic, Passive, or Small-talk? Kid 1: "I just finished my drawing. What do you think?" Kid 2: "Oh, wow, it’s so amazing. I think I’ve seen better art on the back of a cereal box."

Kid 1: "I mean, it’s not like I really wanted to play with everyone or anything..." Kid 2: "Oh, but you can join! I’m sure they’d love to have you."

Kid 1: "I can’t believe we have to clean the whole garage today." Kid 2: "Yeah, because that’s exactly what I was hoping to do with my life today. You know, clean everything that’s been sitting there for years."
