  • What is your greatest accomplishment?
    Ex: Share about a big project at school, a challenging class or even overcoming a personal challenge
  • What do you do in your spare time?
  • Why should we hire you?
    Ex: Make connections between their job opening and your skills/strengths.
  • Tell me about yourself.
    Ex: Share about PRODUCTIVE hobbies and activites
  • How much do you want to make?
    Ex: (Make sure you researched this). Propose something slightly higher than what you make now or say "I'd like to make a fair wage based on my experience."
  • How do you respond to pressure or conflict?
    Ex: Leave the situation, ask for help, stay calm
  • Tell me about a challenging situation you encountered and how you handled it.
    Ex: Talk about a misunderstanding or conflict at work or home. Talk about how you problem solved, stayed calm or asked for help.
  • What's your dream job?
    Try to make connections to the job you are applying for and your own interests.
  • Tell me about your favorite job (or class if this is your first potential job).
    Make connections between skills they are looking for (ex: working with people) and possibly your interests
  • What are your goals for the future?
    Ex: List career or productive personal goals
  • Why did you leave your last position? If you have not had a job yet, why not?
    Ex: Talk about looking for a new challenge, different experience or even personal things like location and hours
  • What are your weaknesses?
    List things that are growth areas for most people: Communication, experience, multi-tasking etc.
  • Why do you want to work here?
    Ex: I want to improve my skills, learn something, like this community or this service/product
  • What are your strengths?
    Ex: List skills and aptitudes that could be helpful on the job
  • Do you have any questions for us?
    Have at least a few questions: Ex: Ask about their company, ask about the people inteviewing you, ask about more job details.
  • Have you ever been part of a team? Tell me about it.
