  • Gluteus maximus
    Muscle located in the buttocks that extends the hip.
  • Gluteus medius
    Muscle located in the buttocks that abducts and medially rotates the hip.

    Flexes leg at the knee and extends thigh at the hip; belongs to the hamstring group
  • Adductor group
