  • The waiter has not brought us the coffee.
    a: We have not been brought the coffee by the waiter. || b: The coffee has not been brought to us by the waiter.
  • Lucy threw the ball to the child.
    a: The child was thrown the ball by Lucy. || b: The ball was thrown to the child by Lucy.
  • The police officer showed us the way.
    a: We were shown the way by the police officer. || b: The way was shown to us by the police officer.
