Riddles - Transport

I’m a transport you don’t have to drive. Which means you can sit back and relax. I can take you across the country. Not in the air but along some tracks.

If you ever want one of these. Then a license you must get. This transport’s spelled with three letters. But it isn’t called a jet.

I am a mode of transport. But I am not very wide. I’ve an engine and two wheels. I’m something you sit astride.

When people board this type of transport. Into different cabins they are split It has wings, a nose and a tail. And the pilots fly in a cockpit.

I am big in size and carry goods from one place to another. I need fuel to run.

I am a vehicle. I carry hundreds of passengers. I have two or three decks. I carry passengers to and from outlying islands.

I have a siren and flashing lights. My driver keeps you safe. We patrol your town. We take criminals to jail.

I have many windows. Many people ride me. I travel underground and make many stops.

This has a saddle and a chain. And two pedals either side. Its two wheels have many spokes. It’s something on which you ride.

If you’re in a city. This is something you might grab. In New York, it’s yellow. It’s also known as a cab.

I am a very fancy vehicle. I can carry one person or many. I carry them to meetings and parties. I need extra long parking places.

This vehicle makes frequent stops. So, getting to places can be slow. In London they’re usually red. The ones you take to school are yellow.

People call me when they need help. I have flashing lights and a siren. Everyone gets out of my way. I carry people to the hospital.

This is a special kind of transport. Sometimes used in an emergency. As they’re able to fly and hover. And help rescue people lost at sea.

You might hear me before you see me. Drivers stop when they hear my siren or horn. I carry water and hoses and ladders. I race to put out fires.
