  • The act of speaking in a quiet voice, especially, without vibration of the vocal cords.
    Whisper
  • To make a sound from the vocal chords without pronouncing any real words, with one's lips closed.

  • The process by which food is crushed and ground by teeth.

  • To breathe forcefully through the nose to expel mucus into a tissue.

  • A loud sucking noise made in eating or drinking. Usually associated with a soup
    Slurp
  • To breathe during sleep with harsh, snorting noises caused by vibration of the soft palate.
    SNORE / SNORING
  • Shut and open the eyes quickly. It's often done with one eye when the movement is controlled.
