It means you have difficulties with reading, writing, and/or math.
Why would it be helpful to have tests read aloud?
You can focus on listening rather than figuring out how to read all the words.

It'll make solving math problems easier.
What is a "check for understanding?"
Your teacher checks in to make sure you understand what is going on in class.

To get off task or to struggle to focus

It's giving an example of the written work.
