Your teacher checks in to make sure you understand what is going on in class.
Why would it be helpful to use a calculator on a test?
It'll make solving math problems easier.
Why would it be helpful to have tests read aloud?
You can focus on listening rather than figuring out how to read all the words.
What is a Specific Learning Disability?
It means you have difficulties with reading, writing, and/or math.
Who can help if you have difficulty controlling your emotions?
Social worker, psychologist, trusted adults, and even friends may be able to help
What is an "alternate setting" for test taking?
It is a quieter space with less distractions
What does it mean to receive praise?
Get compliments for doing something well - YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!! :)
What does it mean to receive "extended time?"
It's extra time to finish work or tests
