🎭 Role Play: Your teammate keeps changing your plan without asking. It’s confusing the group.
👉 I’d say, “Can we stick to the plan we agreed on? If we want to change it, let’s talk about it as a group first.”
🎭 Role Play: You’re in a group activity, and one person is doing everything themselves and ignoring the rest of you.
👉 The problem is they’re not giving others a chance. I might say, “Can we divide the jobs so everyone gets a part? I’d like to help too.”
🎭 Role Play: A quiet teammate hasn’t spoken at all during a planning activity.
🗣️ “Hey, we’d love to hear your ideas too. Do you want to help with the schedule part? I think you’d be great at that.”
🎭 Role Play: You feel really overwhelmed and overstimulated while your team is working in a noisy room.
🗣️ “I’m feeling a little overloaded right now. Is it okay if I take a 5-minute break and then come back and help?”
🎭 Role Play: You’re planning a team outing. Everyone has different ideas and they’re starting to talk over each other.
🗣️ “Let’s each take turns sharing one idea, then we’ll vote. That way everyone gets a chance and we can decide together.”
🎭 Role Play: You’re working with a teammate who keeps making mistakes in a shared task. The group is falling behind.
“Hey, I noticed there have been a few mix-ups. Do you want to go over the steps together? Maybe we can figure it out as a team.”
🎭 Role Play: You’re in a team of 4 people putting together a puzzle. One person is just sitting there and hasn’t helped at all. The rest of the team is starting to get frustrated.
➤ “Hey, I’m almost done with this part, but I could use a hand. Can you help me with the last step?”
🔍 What’s the Problem? Someone always says “no” to others’ ideas.
➤ The problem is they’re not being a good teammate. A better way is to say, “Let’s try it your way first, then mine.”
🔍 What’s the Problem? One person does all the work while others watch.
➤ That’s not fair. We could make a plan and divide the work so everyone gets a job.
🔍 What’s the Problem? You disagree with your team but they won’t listen.
The problem is they’re not open to new ideas. I could say, “Can I explain my idea, and then we can decide together?”
🔍 What’s the Problem? Everyone wants to be the leader, and no one is listening.
➤ The problem is too much talking and not enough listening. We could vote on a leader or make a list of everyone’s jobs.
🔍 What’s the Problem? Someone is on their phone the whole time.
➤ The problem is they’re not paying attention. I could say, “We need your help on this part,” or ask if they need a break.
🔍 What’s the Problem? One person took over the team task.
➤ The problem is that not everyone gets a chance. A better way is to share jobs or take turns.
What Would You Do? Your group finished early, but one teammate still needed help.
➤ I’d ask, “Do you want help?” or “What part are you working on?” It’s good to support the whole team.
What Would You Do? Your teammate was really shy and didn’t talk much.
I’d ask them a small question like, “What do you think?” or give them a chance to help in a quiet way.
What Would You Do? Your teammate made a mistake and blamed you.
I’d say, “I don’t think I did that, but let’s figure it out together.” I would try to stay calm and not yell.
What Would You Do? Two people on your team started arguing.
➤ I would stay calm and maybe say, “Let’s take a break,” or “Let’s all listen to each other one at a time.”
What Would You Do? You had an idea but your teammates weren’t listening.
I would wait for a pause and then say, “Can I share my idea?” or write it down to show them.
What Would You Do? Someone on your team wasn’t helping with a group task.
➤ I would check in with them and say something like, “Hey, do you want to help with this part?” Maybe they’re not sure what to do.
