This is the first room you may enter in many houses, and if you house has stairs, they are probably here. You might hang your coats and jackets here.

This room has a fridge, cooker, microwave, oven and sometimes a dishwasher. People cook and sometimes eat here as well.
a kitchen
This place is underground and it might be a bit dark sometimes.
a basement/cellar
This is a place outside your house, but it isn't a garden. It's much more open than a garden, and it's a perfect place to have when you want to play games or have a party.
a yard
If your home has this, it will be above the top floor of your house. Many people store things in this place.
an attic
You can find a sink, shower and perhaps a rug in this room. Maybe you even keep your washing machine here.
a bathroom
This is the room where you might watch TV. Armchairs and sofas with cushion are things you may have here.
a living room
In this room, you may find things such as mattresses, blankets, duvets and pillows. You might keep some of your own things here.
a bedroom
Not every house has one, but this is the room where you eat. Chairs and tables are the most important pieces of furniture in this room.
