MAKING INFERENCES

A dog is sitting by the door, wagging its tail and looking outside.

Liza was holding a wrapped present and balloons. She was smiling as she walked toward a house decorated with streamers.

Jomar was rubbing his eyes and resting his head on the desk. His notebook was open, but his pencil was not moving.

Lino was coughing and sneezing. He had a blanket wrapped around him and a thermometer beside his bed.

Sofia placed a bandage on her knee. Her shorts were dirty, and her hands had small scratches. She slowly walked toward her mother, holding back tears.

Ana looked out the window. The sky was dark, and she could hear thunder. She went to close the windows before sitting back down.

Maria walked into the house carrying a wet umbrella. She quickly took off her shoes, which were soaked, and placed them near the door.

After school, Mia carefully placed her books on the table and opened her notebook. She sharpened her pencil and started writing.

Carlos came inside sweating and breathing hard. He placed his basketball on the floor and immediately grabbed a glass of water.

Ella had flour on her hands and an apron tied around her waist. The oven timer rang, and she pulled out a tray filled with cookies.
