  • The line or path along which something moves, points, or faces.
    Direction
  • What happens when unbalanced forces act in the same direction as the motion of an object.
    speed up
  • What happens when unbalanced forces act opposite to the motion of an object.
    Slow down
  • When forces acting on an object are equal in size but opposite in direction, so there is no change in motion.
    Balanced
  • Acting against each other; facing in a completely different direction.
    Opposite
  • When forces acting on an object are not equal, causing a change in motion (speed up, slow down, or change direction).
    unbalanced
  • What happens to an object when an unbalanced force pushes or pulls it sideways
    Change direction
  • A comparison between two things to explain an idea in Science (example: comparing balanced forces to a tug of war where no team moves)
    Analogy
  • A push or a pull that can change the speed, direction, or shape of an object.
