Past Tense: Cinderella

One day, an invitation .... from the royal palace.

The prince smiled, and soon they were (marry) ....

The stepsisters .... to squeeze their feet into the slipper, but it did not fit.

At the ball, everyone .... amazed by her beauty.

Then they (leave) .... without her. Cinderella sat in the kitchen, crying. Suddenly, her fairy godmother (appear).....

She lived with her wicked stepmother and two stepsisters, who (treat) .... her cruelly.

Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there (live) .... a kind and beautiful young girl named Cinderella.

She .... happily in the palace with the prince, and she never had to work as a servant again.

While they wore fine clothes and .... parties, Cinderella was forced to do all the household chores, ..... old rags and sleeping in the attic.
