  • How to respond: Your teacher makes you share a book with a peer because they forgot theirs.
    Tell the teacher you would prefer not to, or if you are okay with it, allow them to see the book too.
  • How to respond: Your friend shares with you some candy.
    Say, "thank you" and eat it as long as you aren't allergic.
  • How to respond: Someone in class gets the seat you wanted.
    Sit somewhere else. You can sit with your friends another day.
  • How to respond: You see someone stealing your friends food.
    Tell your friend and tell that person to stop or report it to a teacher.
  • How to respond: Your friend tells you to throw your food at another friend?
    Say "no", food is to eat, not to play.

    Tell your teacher or other trusted adult.

    Tell them to give your book back to you. If they don't, tell the teacher.

    Tell the teacher but do not physically interfere
  • How to respond: The teacher takes your lunch away from you because you weren't listening.
    Tell your parents or other school staff. Not listening shouldn't mean your lunch gets taken because eating is a necessity.
  • How to respond:  You are in line waiting for your teacher and your friend gives you a slap on the back that hurt.
    Tell your friend to stop because you don't like that.
