  • A riddle: These squares are black when you light them, red while they're working and turn grey when they'redone.
    Charcoal
  • This is a summer drink that is yellow and sweet, maybe a little sour. Kids like to sell it on the side of the road.
    Lemonade
  • These insects light up at night. They twinkle green. They live in the midwest and east coast. Sometimes children put them in jars, but you should always let them go.
    Fireflies
  • You use this when you get out of the pool. It comes in many different colors, and is usually shaped like a big rectangle.
    Beach towel
  • This is a machine used on hot days to make your house cooler. It can also make the electricity bill more expensive.
    Air conditioner
  • Some people use this once a week in the summer to make their grass look trimmed. Sometimes this machine can be pushed or sometimes it can be ridden.
    Lawnmower
  • This food tastes yummy when cooked on the grill. People like to eat them with ketchup and/or mustard. It's name is only one word, not two.
    Hamburgers
  • People find these on the ground. At night they stick hotdogs or marshmallows on it and hold it over the fire to cook.
    Stick
  • If you have one of these you might like to lay down in it. It usually hangs between two trees. It's difficult to get out of and sometimes people fall.
    Hammock
  • This comes in many different shapes and sizes. The unicorn, donut and flamingo are really popular. Be careful though, if it touches something sharp it deflates.
    Pool raft / float
  • You can come here in the summer for a day of fun! Sometimes you have to be a certain height to use some of the faster stuff here.
    Water park
  • It likes to get stuck on your toes. If it's hot, it can burn your feet. It's easier to build a castle with it when it is wet.
    Sand
  • It comes in the form of a lotion or a spray. It keeps your skin from burning. Be careful not to get it in your eyes!
    Sunscreen
  • This is a sparkly stick that is fun to light on the 4th of July. You have to be careful though because sometimes it's hot.
    Sparkler
  • It can be green, blue or yellow. It's really long and used to water the garden, wash a car or fill up a pool.
    Hose
  • It likes to eat worms. It raises its babies in a bowl shaped bed in the trees. It flies to get from one place to another.
    Bird
