They travelled on a ship called Mayflower. The journey took 66 days. It was cold and the food was limited.
The first winter on the new land was very difficult for them. Only 50 of the original 102 passengers survived.
The situation got better with time. They learned how to live there and even made some friends. The first harvest was celebrated by the first Thanksgiving.
They reached the coast of America on 9 November, 1620.
