  • They travelled on a ship called Mayflower. The journey took 66 days. It was cold and the food was limited.
  • The first winter on the new land was very difficult for them. Only 50 of the original 102 passengers survived.
  • The situation got better with time. They learned how to live there and even made some friends. The first harvest was celebrated by the first Thanksgiving.
  • They reached the coast of America on 9 November, 1620.
  • On 15 August, 1620 a group of people started their voyage from England to America. There were 102 of them.
