  • a wooden house built high above the ground on tall posts. People live in it to stay safe from floods and wild animals

  • a tall but narrow house which is attached to other houses on both sides

  • a large, often old building, with towers and big stone wall
    CASTLE
  • generally old and large country house with a lot of land, a huge garden, usually owned by wealthy families

  • a small apartment/flat for one person

  • a small old-fashioned house in the countryside

  • a home to a king or queen, a large house
    PALACE
  • a house in which two homes are built under one roof, which are attached to another person's house on one side
    SEMI-DETACHED HOUSE
  • a house common on college and university campus, with individual rooms for students
    DORMITORY (DORMS) / STUDENT HALLS (HALLS)
  • small round house made of blocks of snow. It has a low entrance and stays warm inside, even in very cold weather
    IGLOO
  • a vehicle made for living in, can be pulled behind a car or truck, sometimes with its own engine
