  • A group of kids at recess always play kickball. Scott stole the ball and ran around all recess. The next day the group asked Scott if he wanted to play with them. Scott agreed. Scott turned out to be a great player.
    People should be more careful about where they put the ball.
    Sometimes disagreements are just misunderstandings.
    Kickball is a lame sport.
    Stealing the ball was okay because they always hog it.
  • Mr. Pig and Mr. Dog found a pizza. Mr. Pig saw it first so he ate the whole thing in front of Mr. Dog claiming it was all his. When they were leaving they were spotted by a hunter. Mr. Pig could not run because he was weighed down.

  • Grayden was obsessed with being perfect. All of her grades were A+. She was working on a paper in English, but it was not good enough. She erased it all and kept starting over. The day it was due she had nothing to turn in.
    If it is not perfect it should not be submitted.
    Being perfect is not easy.
    Grades are the only thing that matter in life.
    Sometimes your best effort is enough.
  • When Michael Jordan was a sophomore in high school he tried out for the varsity basketball team. He was only 5'11" and the coach thought that he was to short to ever play basketball at a high level. The coach cut him. MJ went on to the NBA.
    MJ should have given up.
    The opinion of others does not define your potential.
    Sometimes you should listen to your elders.
    His coach was just a big dummy.
  • Blaine was angry that his mother bought him the wrong superhero toy. He got angry with her and called him bad names. His mother tried to get the right one but messed up again. He called her more names. She sold all of his toys.
    Family who are trying to show you love should be respected.
    Sometimes moms can be dumb.
    Buying the wrong toy is evil.
    Being angry with your mom is okay if you have a good reason.

  • When Katie Clean invited Messy Missy to her house to work on their biology project, she had no idea what a visit from Messy Missy entailed. Messy Missy spilled grape juice all over the project and they failed. Katie questioned her choices.
    It is important to chose your group members carefully.
    It is okay if Biology is your favorite subject.
    School is not important.
    Don't work on a project while drinking grape juice.

  • Tammy and Sammy were both students in Mr. Morton's class. He was super nice about turning in late work. Because of this Sammy did his homework on the bus and never did the reading assignment. He failed. Tammy did the work and got an A.
    Reading is hard and sometimes you shouldn't do it.
    Homework can always wait.
    Keeping up with your work will yield results.
    Procrastinating is not not a problem.

  • Money Mark was born rich. He never had to work a day in his life and he got everything handed to him on a silver platter. Despite his wealth he never found happiness. He was surround by possessions that he did not care about.
    Buying whatever you want will make you happy.
    Money is the key to all of your problems.
    Money is useless.
    Money won't solve all your problems.
  • Mike and Malik were picking teams for basketball in Gym class. Sean was short for his age and Mike picked him last. Sean scored the most points. Both Malik and Mike were shocked by the end of the game.
    Life is hard when you're short.
    Sean did not like playing basketball.
    Being angry is a great source of motivation.

  • There was a man named Sam who always made fun of people. While pumping gas one day, he told the man across from him that he looked like a horse. The man told Sam to stop. Sam went at him again. Sam ended up in the hospital.

    No one cares what you say about them.
    Your words have serious consequences.
  • Barry loved to play board games. Barry also loved to win. He would do whatever it took. He would hide pieces in his sleeves, skip turns, and even change the score when no one was watching. After awhile, no one wanted to play with him.
    Winning is not everything. Losing is part of the game.
    Cheating to win is perfectly fine.
    People will like you if you cheat.
    Cheating is part of life.
