  • To figure out what is wrong with someone who is sick. Doctors diagnose by asking questions, doing tests, and examining the person.
    Diagnose
  • Someone who helps people who are hurt or sick, especially in emergencies. They provide medical care before the person gets to the hospital.
    Paramedic
  • To get better after being sick or hurt. When someone recovers, they start to feel well again.
    Recover
  • A person who helps doctors take care of patients. They help with things like giving medicine, taking temperatures, and dressing wounds.
    Nurse
  • A person who helps others with their physical health. They teach exercises and treatments to help people move better and feel less pain.
    Physiotherapist
  • Someone who works in a pharmacy and gives people medicine. They make sure people get the right medicine and understand how to take it.
    Pharmacist
  • The joint between the foot and the leg. It allows the foot to move up and down and side to side.
    Ankle
  • The joint between the hand and the arm. It allows the hand to bend and move.
    Wrist
  • A person who helps others deal with their feelings or problems. They listen and talk to people to help them feel better.
    Therapist
  • A piece of paper from a doctor that tells a pharmacist what medicine to give someone. Only a doctor can write a prescription.
    Prescription
  • A person who takes care of people's teeth. They check for cavities, clean teeth, and fix any problems with teeth or gums.
    Dentist
  • A hard covering made of plaster that is put on a broken bone to protect it while it heals.
    Plaster cast
  • A person who helps people when they are sick or hurt. They examine patients and give them medicine or treatment to help them get better.
    Doctor
  • Devices that help people walk when they have an injury or condition that makes it difficult to put weight on one or both legs.
    Crutches
  • Someone who works to keep people healthy or helps them when they are sick. This can include doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and others who work in healthcare.
    Healthcare Professional
  • To lightly mark or scrape the surface of something, usually with fingernails or something sharp.
    Scratch
  • To bring someone back to life or consciousness, especially if they have stopped breathing or their heart has stopped.
