    Uruk's greatest monument where the white temple was built. The temple was dedicated to the sky god Anu.

    Uruk's walls had watchtowers and a ditch running around the outer perimeter - this shows how the people in Uruk values defense and security.

    Order and hierarchy (each city had its own ruler), and defense (Gilgamesh was a great warrior)

    Religious / cultural values: it shows that people believed in the gods
