While walking barefoot, you accidentally step on a sharp shell and scrape the bottom of your foot. It hurts, and there is a little bit of blood.

You spent almost an hour building a giant sandcastle with towers and a moat. Another child is running by and accidentally steps on one of the towers, knocking it over. They put their hands to their cheeks and open their mouth and eyes wide.

Your family arrives at the beach, and after setting everything up, you realize you forgot to put on sunscreen. You already want to run into the water, but your parent says you need sunscreen first.
