Describe how acid rain forms.
Burning fossil fuels release carbon into the air. The carbon combines with the water in the cloud to form an acid. It then rains acid rain.

Human activity increases the nutrients in water. The nutrients cause an overgrowth of algae that reduces the oxygen in the water.
