The Metis are people descended from the British or Canadien traders and First Nations.

It brought settlers to Alberta.
Who were "Canadiens?"
Canadiens were Francophone people who were born in Canada. Their first language was French.
These people travelled by canoe and worked for the fur-trading companies.
