What does it mean to GRATE or SHRED and ingredient? Grated. Shredded. Shredding.
To use a grater to shredder to cut ingredients into very small pieces.
What does it mean to SAUTE' an ingredient?                          
It means to fry in a small amount of oil.
What does it mean to COOK an ingredient?                              Cooked.   cooking.
