Winning or saving a difficult situation when the odds are against you.
Respawn
When a player reappears in the game after being defeated.
Camp / Camper
A player who stays in one spot waiting to ambush others.
Nerf
To weaken a character, weapon, or ability in a game update. (Opposite of “buff.”)
OP
Overpowered — something (weapon, character, etc.) that is too strong or unfair.
AFK
Away From Keyboard — a player who is temporarily inactive.
Noob / N00b
A beginner or unskilled player. Often used teasingly.
GG
Good Game — said at the end of a match to show sportsmanship.
Rage Quit
Leaving a game suddenly out of anger or frustration.
Toxic
Describes rude or negative player behavior (insults, spamming, etc.).
Cooldown
The waiting period before you can use an ability or item again.
One-trick
A player who only uses one specific character or weapon in every match.
Stacked Team
A team made up of very skilled or high-ranked players—unfairly strong for matchmaking.
Smoked / Wiped / Nuked
To completely destroy or eliminate the enemy team.
Pog / Poggers
Expression of excitement or amazement (originated from Twitch emote PogChamp).
Feed / Feeder
To repeatedly die to the enemy, giving them experience and gold.
Carry
A player who almost single-handedly wins the game for their team.
Tilted
Emotionally frustrated or playing worse because of anger or stress during a match.
