You are a group event and everyone is broken into smaller groups to get to know each other. Everyone in your group is quiet. What are some good conversation skills you could use with the group?

you are playing a game with your friend and they lose. Even though you are happy you won, you look at your friend and they are not smiling. What are they feeling and what could you say?

He is disappointed he lost. Show sympathy by saying "I am sorry" "You got it next time". you can ask: "do you want to take a break?" "Do you want to play again?

You are at a family friends house. They have a little son who is 6 years old. You see him playing with the stove nobs but no one else has noticed. What should you do? who should you talk to and what should you say?

this is a dangerous situation. The best thing to do is to find an adult (his parents or yours) and let them know what is happening. use clear language.

you are at someones birthday party but they are frowning and alone. They are looking at a picture of their grandma and say "my grandma couldn't come today". How is she feeling? What could you say to her?

She is sad her grandma could not come to her party. Tell her you are sorry she couldn't make it, offer to sit with her, ask her about her party.
