Kate wanted to make cookies for her class. She mixed up all the ingredients and put the dough in the oven. She forgot to set the timer and went outside to play. When she came back in the cookies were burned and completely black.

One winter day and Nina and her brother decided to build a giant snowman. They made the 3 snowballs and went inside to find a scarf. When they went back out, the sun had came out and started to melt the snow. So they didn't finish it.

Today there is a big race at school! Zoe has been training every day for the race. She times herself and tries to run faster and further everyday. On the day of the race, she took 2nd. She felt proud to get a medal.

Today is show and tell in Ms. A's 3rd grade class. It is Jason's turn to bring something in, but he forgot. He felt so disappointed that he left his baseball at home. But he quickly remembered he could tell the story about how he got it!

Emily's grandpa plants a big garden every year. This year she wanted to help him plan it and grow a pumpkin. She spent time weeding and watering it. Finally, in the fall a huge pumpkin grew in the garden.

Dan was disappointed when his birthday party got canceled due to the rain. He sat at home watching it rain and suddenly noticed a car pull into his driveway. It was 3 of his friends and they came to throw him a surprise party inside.

Jay noticed that one of his teeth was wiggly. The next day, as he was eating his lunch, it fell out. He dropped it on the floor and looked everywhere for it. After a few minutes, he found it under his chair.

Max entered his grandma's pie into a baking contest. He and his grandma spent hours in the kitchen testing recipes. When they found the best one, they made it for their family. They then made a second one that won first place in the contest

Lily loved to draw and had a big imagination. One day, she entered a drawing of a dragon into an art show. It was so good that it was picked to be part of the show. Lily even got a ribbon for her drawing.

My family knows how to turn any bad situation into something good. One time, we went camping and forgot the tent. We quickly found sticks outside and blankets in the car. My family and I got to sleep under the stars.

Toby was having a hard time reading the board, so he went to the eye doctor. He found out that he needed glasses. At first, he felt embarrassed to wear them at school. But his friends told him they looked cool. He now wears them everyday!

Anna noticed that her water bottle was not on the table anymore. She knew she put it there after school and decided to carefully observe where it could be. She noticed a trail of water and followed it to her brother's room.

Ben felt nervous to play in his first soccer game. At the beginning of the game, he missed the goal. He kept trying and was hopeful the rest of the game would be better. At the end, he scored the winning goal!

Mia realized she could not find her lunchbox. She felt worried and asked her friends for help. Her friend Sarah looked in the office and found it. Mia was glad she asked for help and that her friends found it!
