Counterclaim

Reasoning

Logos
Something that proves or demonstrates the truth of something else.
Evidence
One sentence in the introduction of an essay that the writer uses to “set the stage” for the reader. It provides focus.
Thesis
Tries to persuade you by creating an emotional connection between you and the topic. It is an appeal to your emotions.
Pathos
Tries to convince you through the trustworthiness and believability of the author. It is an appeal to ethics.
Ethos
Facts, details, or other information within a text that are related to the topic.
Relevant
Statements that the author presents as true in order to support his or her position.

a short interesting story about a real incident or person
