A picture taken with a camera to show what something looks like.
Photograph
A page in the back of the book that gives definitions of some of the keywords related to the topic.
Glossary
An alphabetical list in the back of the book that tells the reader where they can find certain information on certain topics.
Index
More headings that come after the main heading to break the sections of text up even more. They help identify the main idea for that section.
Subheading
The title at the top of a page or section that helps the reader identify the main idea for that section.
Heading
A page in the beginning of the book that shows the reader the different section or chapter titles and where they are located.
Table of Contents
Identifies the topic and tells us what the text is about.
