What is an irrelevant sentence?
a sentence that doesn't relate to the topic sentence that should be included in the paragraph.
What is a concluding sentence?
one sentence, usually the last, which wraps up the paragraph; It does not introduce a new information. Often, it restates the topic sentence

one sentence, usually the first, which tells the main idea or what the paragraph is mostly about

What is a run-on sentence?
two or more simple sentences that run together because they are capitalized or punctuated incorrectly
What is a simple sentence?
a group of words that has one subject and one predicate
What is a fragment?
a group of words that isn't a complete thought and lacks either a subject or predicate
What is the predicate of a sentence?
the part of the sentence that tells the actions, the 'what' is happening. The predicate includes and often begins with the verb.

the part of the sentence that tells 'who' or 'what' the sentence is about
