Brooke asked her brother, Jeremy, if she could have a turn on the iPad, but Jeremy said “no”. He never shares! Brooke stomps into her room and punches the bed. “It’s not fair!”

Mack was bobbing for apples with his friend & they had a contest to see who got the most. Mack only caught one apple & his friend caught three. Mack lost. “No fair! I don’t want to play with you anymore.” Mack told his friend.

Violet hung her head and sighed. Her older sister was sick and now they weren’t going to be able to go to the fall festival. Violet was looking forward to the hay ride but now she was going to miss it. She tried not to cry.

Polly looked at Casey’s trick-or-treat bucket. It was full of candy. Polly’s bucket only had a little candy in it after she finished trick-or-treating. She wished she started trick-or-treating earlier & that she had as much candy as Casey.

Keon’s dad told him not to go close to the house at the end of the street. His dad said it was a haunted house. Keon looked up at the house. What could be so bad? He looked in the window and peeked through a crack in the door.

Kate’s birthday is today, but she thinks everyone forgot because it’s the same day as Halloween. Her mom didn’t even make her a cake. She opens the door to her home and her whole family jumps out and yells, “Happy Birthday!”

Pam and Angela are on their way to their grandma’s house. Pam loves seeing her grandma. Angela does too, but she knows she talks a lot, and she has a lot of homework to do today.

Damian hates being at home – he always fights with his brothers, and his parents make him do a lot of chores around the house. Korinne loves being at home. It is Friday afternoon.
