When the ending remains stuck together (example: consonant-le).

When 2 vowels work together to make one new sound or a sliding sound!
What is Bossy R?
The vowel is followed around by a bossy friend that tells it what to do – the vowel sound is changed!
What is Magic E?
When there is an e at the end, Magic E jumps over one consonant to give all the power to the vowel so the vowel can say its name!
What is an open syllable?
When there is a vowel free at the end. When vowels are free, they say their name!
What is a closed syllable?
When the vowel is closed in (or trapped!) by a consonant. When vowels are trapped, they say their short sound!
