Essential question
It turns the essential question into a call to action by developing a local solution to a global problem.
The challenge

Challenge
They contain both a subject and a verb, but cannot stand alone as a sentence
Dependent clauses
They contain both a subject and a verb and can stand alone as a sentence.
Independent clauses
This type of sentence has the most basic elements that make it a sentence: a subject, a verb, and a completed thought.
Simple sentence
Made up of two independent clauses (or complete sentences) connected to one another with a coordinating conjunction (FANBOYS).
Compound sentences
Made up of an independent clause and one or more dependent clauses connected to it.
Complex sentences
This type of sentence has two or more independent clause(s) and at least one dependent clause.
Compound-Complex
