Why was it almost impossible for the men to get their friend to where Jesus was at first?
Because it was so crowded.
How did paralysed man get into the house?
His friends cut a hole in the roof and lowered him down on his mat.
Did Jesus heal the crippled man?
Yes
The paralysed man was lying in front of the Lord Jesus on his mattress and the people in the house were waiting for Jesus to touch him and make him better, but Jesus did not do that right away. What did Jesus say?
Son, your sins are forgiven.
There were teachers of the law in the house. What did they think to themselves after Jesus said to the paralysed man that his sins were forgiven?
“Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
What did Jesus tell the paralysed man after he said his sins were forgiven?
“I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.”

Why is Jesus able to heal the man?
Jesus is God and also the perfect Son of God. He is the One Who created the heavens and the Earth and so He is able to do these wonderful things.
If you are a Christian and have put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, you can also bring your friends to Jesus. You do not have to put them on a mattress and carry them. What can you do?

Jesus could forgive this man his sins because He was the Saviour Who would soon die on the cross for the sins of this man and for all of mankind.
