Mark says, “I go jogging every morning.”

She said, “I can’t come today.”
She said (that) she couldn’t come that day.
Tom: “Where did you go last night?”
Tom asked me where I had gone the night before.
My teacher said, “You must hand in your project tomorrow.”

Tom said, “I saw Anna here last night.”
Tom said (that) he had seen Anna there the night before.
Josh: “Can you help me now?”
Josh asked me if/whether I could help him then.
