The Quebec Winter Carnival in Canada is very famous.
Thousands of visitors come to Quebec for the carnival.
The activities last three weeks.
There are parades for children and adults.
There are huge models of strange animals and people.
People wear costumes, dance, and play music in the streets.
People sing a special carnival song.
There are fireworks, too.
Preparations for the carnival take a whole year.
There are lots of other events.
There is a competition for beautiful sculptures made of snow and ice.
There are sports events including an ice canoe race, skating, hockey, and snowboarding.
Some people even take a "snow bath"! It’s always very cold.
The carnival mascot is the Bonhomme, a large snowman.
The Bonhomme leads the parades.
He wears a red hat and a colorful belt.
