Lifecycle of a Plant
is like a story of how a plant grows, lives, and makes new plants.
Seed:
It all begins with a seed. Some seeds are tiny, like those of a flower, and others are big, like a mango seed!
Germination
It starts to grow. A tiny root goes down into the soil.
Growing Plant:
As the seedling grows taller, it develops more leaves and roots. The roots collect water and nutrients from the soil, and the leaves use sunlight to make food.
Flowering Plant:
As the plant matures, it starts to grow flowers. Flowers are very important because they help the plant make seeds.
Pollination and Seeds
Bees, butterflies, and even the wind help move pollen from one flower to another. This is called pollination. After pollination, the flower makes seeds.
New Seeds
Once the seeds are ready, they spread to new places. They can be carried by the wind, water, animals, or people.
Restart:
When these seeds land in the right spot, they grow into new plants, starting the whole cycle again!
