How can we defeat Space Invader?

The 1 arm's length rule. Doing check-ins with others. Read social cues of others. Putting on the brake and stopping ourselves from getting too close to others.

What are social cues?

A hint/clue you notice about another person. These cues can help you understand how someone else is feeling.

What can a social cue be?

Hand signals (thumbs up/wave). Noticing someone's body language. Listening to someone's words and tone of voice. Looking cat someone's facial expression.

If someone looks uncomfortable when you get close to them are you invading their space?

Yes - make sure to have an arms length in-between ourselves and others.

Yes - remember to check in with others to see if it's okay to be that close. Look at their social cues.

Understand their comfort level and accept that they don't want a hug and would like their distance.
