Heat is a form of energy that is always moving from one object to another. Heat energy will only transfer if there is DIFFERENCE in TEMPERATURE between two objects
The direction of heat transfer will always be HIGHER TEMPERATURE (hot) to LOWER TEMPERATURE (cold).
There are THREE methods by which heat can be transferred from one object to one another or place to another,
The three method of heat transfer are CONVECTION, CONDUCTION and RADIATION.
CONDUCTION
CONDUCTION is the transfer of heat through direct contact between objects. It can occur in solid, liquid and gas, but it's best observed in solids.
CONDUCTORS
It pertains to the materials that's readily transfer heat. Some o the good conductor are metals such as silver, aluminum, steel and copper.
INSULATORS
This are materials that conduct heat poorly. Example of these insulators are rubber, plastic, wood, fabrics, water and air.
