  • What do you do? You receive a text telling an embarrassing story about another student who has often been mean to you. You know your friends would think it’s funny.
    Would be Cyber Bullying if you sent the message. The right thing would be not sending the message to others. You could be an upstander.

  • What Would you do? As you walk to class, you see a boy knock a kid’s books out of his hands. You’ve seen him do this several other times.
    This would be physical bullying. You could be an upstander by helping the student.

  • What would you do? While walking home from school, you witness a physical fight. Your friend tells you to record it with your cell phone.
    If you see it, you could help rather than just record it. If you record it, you could share with adults. Sharing on social media wouldn't be the right thing.

  • What would you do? You’re invited to a party but your friend isn’t. At the party, some of the kids make jokes about your friend and laugh at him.
    That would be social bullying, but outcasting someone/teasing. As a friend, you wouldn't join in.

  • What would you do? You sent a mean text about a kid who bullies to a friend, and your friend forwarded it to others. It eventually got back to the kid.
    You have created a bigger problem by joining the bully and name calling. You could apologize.

  • What would you do? The meanest kid at school think it’s fun to tease you every chance she gets. You’re afraid she’s going to hurt you, and you’re starting to hate school.
    This is social bullying. You need to be assertive and tell them to stop. If they don't stop, you need to talk with an adult for help.
